Role summary
The Car Wash Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Car Wash, including customer service, site presentation, management of casual staff and operational and financial performance of all on-site equipment and vending.
Role Objectives
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Car Wash
• Management of operational accounts on behalf of the Car Wash
• Manage staff including conducting appraisals and performance review
• Manage workplace health and safety and security issues
• Client relations, including responding to consumer complaints
• Management of chemicals and other inventory and place orders with enough lead time to ensure that stock levels are managed
• Quality control & strict time management
• General cleaning and maintenance of all equipment, grounds, and facilities
• Manage and motivate a team to maximise sales and cost efficiency
Key responsibilities
Customer Service
• Providing high quality customer service and community engagement and shall encourage and manager other staff to deliver the same high levels of service
Site maintenance
• Ensuring the site is clean and tidy and well-functioning, including high levels of presentation, cleanliness of bays and equipment and landscaping
• Responsible for the period maintenance of all equipment, on-site trouble shooting of any malfunctions, and where required the engagement and management of specialist contractors to resolve any faults.
Driving performance
• Develop a detailed understanding of customers and drive sales performance through repeat business, strategic collaborations, and innovation marketing ideas
• Identify any issues and opportunities and shall address or action these appropriately to ensure optimal customer service and finance outcomes
Employee Management
• Confidently lead and manage a small team under strict time managed circumstances.
Equipment provided: Mobile phone, site-based computer, car wash uniform, PPE
Work schedule: 8am to 4pm, between Tuesday to Saturday, 5 days per week with a half hour lunch break each day.
Emergency contact: The role of Car Wash Manager is the first point of contact, during car wash operational hours, for all emergencies, security breaches or equipment breakdowns. A company mobile phone will be provided to support this role requirement.
Travel: The Employee may be required to travel to service all any of the Employer’s locations. All reasonable and approved travel expenses will be either paid or reimbursed by the Employer excluding local travel.
